Fraud Investigator
DCS Recruitment are working in partnership with a London based Loan company who are looking to recruit a Fraud Investigator to be part of their fast growing and successful team at the forefront of a sector poised to change the face of modern finance forever. Overview of the Fraud Investigator role:
As Fraud Investigator at you will support the Credit Team. You must have fantastic communication skills and the ability to ask the necessary questions and obtain the required information. We need someone who can work on their own initiative, who is a quick learner and is reliable.

Role specific duties & responsibilities
Essential experience:
At least 1 years’ experience and knowledge in using financial crime industry software solutions, CIFAS, Call Credit.
Accurately work customer screening alerts, identifying target matches and clearing false positives.
Investigate potential fraudulent activity by analysing all available information, including bureau data, contact details, bank account information and identity documents, to reach a decision on whether to lend.
Complete the review and assessment of each referred application within agreed SLA’s.
Accurately file relevant information on the CIFAS database in accordance with the CIFAS rules.
Follow existing fraud and credit policy/processes, whilst actively seeking out current vulnerabilities or new ways of identifying fraud in our systems and suggesting ways to mitigate these.
Experience working within a digital online or financial services environment preferred
A natural inclination to and affinity to all things fraud: Ability to think like a fraudster and anticipate vulnerabilities and potential exploitation
Ability to work independently and within an expanding team.
Not essential, but preferred:
Working with retail credit loan applications between £500 – £25,000 or have experience as a mortgage underwriter.
Ad-hoc Tasks:
Any other duties that are assigned to you from time to time.

Exposure to a financial services environment – especially in terms of consumer lending (loans or credit cards, and data analytics)
