Junior Finance Assistant



My client is a well established charity based in West London and has been supporting Children for over 30 years. The office is situated in West London where the Charities headquarters and community centre are based. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse attitude with the ability to work with people from all walks of life. 

This role would be best suited for an individual who has just started their Accountancy career and seeking an employer which will support, develop and grow their talent alongside the Charity. If you have been studying your AAT and have previously undertaken some Financial responsibilities and are seeking the opportunity to join an accounts team this role would be for you!

Role Overview:


1. Support the Finance Manager in all aspects of the accounts department
2. Attend finance meetings and support in the preparation beforehand.
3. Maintain the Accounts Database.
4. Support with the Invoicing process.
5. Assist with maintain the fixed asset register.
6. To assist and/or deputize on behalf of the Finance manager.
7. Produce adhoc financial reports


Responsibilities


1. To assist the Finance & Facilities Manager with the inputting of supplier invoices and to produce sales invoices on Quickbooks.
2. To assist the Finance & Facilities Manager with the end of month accounts, quarterly management accounts and in the preparation for the end of year audit.
3. To run the Purchase Order system
4. To administer the organization’s petty cash system using both Microsoft excel and Quickbooks
5. Manage all housing income and expenditure including quarterly visits to all properties under the organizations management
6. To scrutinize and check invoices for accuracy, check goods and services have been received
7. To monitor and maintain staff support expenses records using Microsoft excel


You will be an approachable, freidnly and dynamic individual with an interest in developing a career within a Chairty. The ideal candidate will posses some experience using Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel. 


Note: Due to the nature of this role you will be required to undertake a Full DBS check prior to starting employment.
