The School of Psychology wishes to appoint 3 Lecturers (0.1 FTE) in Clinical Psychology. The post-holders will contribute to new curriculum developments in the area of clinical psychology and provide practitioner input to the delivery of the School’s newly validated MSc in Applied Clinical Psychology. The School offers staff a supportive and collegiate environment, with carefully managed teaching and administration loads.
The School of Psychology is part of the College of Science and Technology and is located in the purpose-built Darwin Building. The School is well resourced, with an extensive range of state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment, including a Child Observation Suite, a Health Psychology Suite, Sport Psychology Laboratories and a Brain Imaging Laboratory, with the latter housing neuroscience facilities that include EEG/ERP, TMS, tDCS, fNIRS and fTCD. The School offers staff a supportive and collegiate environment, with carefully managed teaching and administration loads. The School has a thriving community of PhD and MSc students and has particularly strong links with international universities, NHS hospital trusts, schools and community groups.
Essential criteria for the post in terms of qualifications, experience and skills include having a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), current professional registration with the HCPC, a subject specialism in a core area of Clinical Psychology and some undergraduate or postgraduate teaching experience.
Excellent communication and presentation skills and good planning and organisational skills are essential.
