Business Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a HOTEL REVENUE MANAGER for a long established family ran organisation who are leaders within their field and who offer excellent property career progression.
We are widely considered to be the No. 1 Hotel in the Haringey/ Finsbury area
Our aim is to create our own brand to challenge the likes of Travelodge and Premier Inn. We are presently looking for new buildings to convert to hotels. This is a very exciting phase of growth for the group for the incoming Hotel Manager.
The potential is to become Area manager of our expanded group of hotels. Our present booking.com rating is 7.7. We expect this rating to rise to 8.5+ with our outstanding customer service and the improvements we are making to the premises.
Role:
To be responsible for the overall management/ revenue management, in order to maximise sales and profit through effectively leading your team, maintaining brand standards and driving great customer service.
Responsibilities
• Be responsible for the implementation of Revenue Manager methods in order to maximize the turnover in accordance with hotel’s marketing & sales strategies and customer’s needs.
• Be responsible for having all the revenue management processes in place
• Implement the Hotel’s strategy on a daily basis.
• Be in charge of helping the hotels to reach and beat their operational turnover budget.
• Support the Hotel in the creation of the strategy (with correct analysis) and to work effectively with the implemented revenue management system.
• To implement the strategy, based on the daily recommendations in the distribution channels, as well as the daily check of the system recommendations for sense and provide complementary or revised analysis for optimisation.
• Manage and control costs & expenses.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling, accounts, licensing, company property, security and stock procedures.
• Hold regular meetings with the hotel team in order to encourage open communication at all levels and ensure they know everything they need to know.
• Develop and manage the hotel team through regular feedback and reviews, agree action plans and timescales for follow up.
• Take full responsibility for the Brand. Ensure the hotel team consistently maintains company brand standards and expectations through utilisation of company policies and procedures.
• Keeping customers happy will be the most important thing to you – Ensure your team deliver and recognise the importance of great customer service in line with company best practice.
• Recruit and induct the right people for your team in line with company policy and provide ongoing development to help them reach their full potential.
• Analyse and benchmark the performance of your hotel, sharing best practice, and drive ongoing improvements in all areas.
• Ensure that all legislation is adhered to within your hotel, including employment law, health and safety, food hygiene, COSHH.
• Be friendly and helpful at all times, leading by example.
• Treat your colleagues in a fair and friendly way. Be prepared to muck in and help out where needed.
Candidate Profile
• Knowledge of the concepts and evaluation of market analysis processes.
• A clear understanding of the hotel industry is necessary as well as analytical capabilities, experience in study cases & market research.
• Revenue Management
• Analytical tools: Excel advanced user (formulas; database knowledge, pivot tables).
• Technologies and distribution tools: PMS, CRS and distribution channels.
• Communication skills: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
