We are seeking an excellent and motivated research assistant to work with Dr James Walters (School of Medicine) and Prof. Krish Singh (School of Psychology) on an MRC funded research project “STRATA – Schizophrenia: Treatment Resistance And Therapeutic Advances”.
The post will primarily involve recruitment, interviewing and imaging of patients with schizophrenia (and some healthy controls). The post holder will receive appropriate training to carry out the cognitive testing, clinical ratings and Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) that form the basis of the project. The post holder will also liaise with other centres that are part of this internationally leading multi-centre study.
In addition, the postholder will contribute to the overall research performance of the Schools and University, carrying out research leading to the publishing of work in high-quality journals, pursuing excellence in research and inspiring others to do the same.
This position is part-time (28 hours per week) is available immediately and is fixed term until 28th February 2017
Salary: £25,769 – £29,847 per annum, pro-rata for hours worked (Grade 5). Please note a maximum starting salary of £25,769 (spine point 23) applies to this post.
