This exciting job opportunity has arisen to join a national research team to investigate the reliability of the Systemic Family Practice – Systemic Competence Scale. The SFP-SCS has been used for the past 18 months on Children and Young Person’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies training courses. It is starting to be used on other training courses, such as in Doctorates of Clinical Psychology and Systemic Intermediate Training courses. However, the scale has not been tested for reliability, which is the aim of this project.


The project is funded by the British Psychological Societies’ Division of Clinical Psychology and has gained ethical approval for the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath.


The successful applicant will have excellent networking skills, be able to work independently, have a proven ability to use research statistics and excellent oral and written presentation skills. The project is based at the University of Bath but the application will be coordinating national data collection and liaising with the national research team.


This is a fixed term post for up to 5 months, working part time for 14.6 hours per week (0.4FTE).
