BBC Worldwide is looking for new Junior Creative CEMA/WE for its Brands business area.
The Creative department is responsible for the development and implementation of on-air strategy for CEMA/WE, channel branding and off-air materials for BBC Worldwide portfolio of channels. The department will develop and create materials such as sales reels, ad spots and conference reels to promote channels.
Role Responsibility The Junior Creative will be responsible for creating and supervising navigational elements such as menus and pointers. Where applicable they will also translate English scripts and other written material, direct voicing sessions and re-version existing promos for the channels under their remit.
Accountabilities
- Create and oversee navigational elements for BBC Worldwide Channels to include checking copy and directing voice-overs.
- Assist the Production Coordinators on creative projects including the gathering of materials and re-versioning of promos.
- To work to formal/informal creative briefs, and ensure output is highly targeted and meets agreed objectives.
- To produce simple ATV trails across the genre and legacy brands as well as affiliate and off air material for local markets.
- To work with marketing and programming on a regular basis as well as the internal production facilities and external vendors such as post-production facilities, audio facilities and design houses.
The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will possess the following experience and characteristics:
- Good creative skills and creative judgment.
- Ability to work within a given budget and time line.
- Knowledge of other languages, preferable.
- Translation experience and understanding of localisation processes.
- Knowledge of Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere preferable.
- Experience of dealing contributors such as voice-over artists.
- An understanding of marketing concepts.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Guidelines.
- Resilience to sustain performance when under pressure from a high volume of work and conflicting priorities.
- An interest in and enthusiasm for TV promotions and the work of BBC Worldwide Channels
