Experienced Chef De Partie Required For Luxury Restaurant
Our client is a Japanese restaurant in Mayfair looking for a Experienced Chef De Partie to join their kitchen team.
As a Chef de Partie you will be a key part of the kitchen team who ensures that food is prepared and delivered to consistently high standards.
You will be responsible to effectively running a section, ensuring the quality of dishes being prepared are consistent and meet the restaurants standards. You will be also responsible for ensuring the more junior chefs in the section are given clear direction and effectively supervised to be able to develop their knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
? Supervise and participate in the preparation of all goods and food items in accordance with established recipe cards and methods.
Assist with resource organisation during the event process concerning kitchen areas and kitchen resources.
? Ensure that all food items are prepared in an attractive and appetising manner.
? Ensure continued portion control policies, standards etc are maintained.
? Ensure section equipment is well maintained and handled and kitchen section is kept clean and tidy at all times.
? Health and Safety and Food Quality legislation monitoring and control. Ensuring that the kitchen section operation conforms with required standards to both Government and Company policies.
? Works a rota/shift as required with the team schedule to ensure adequate coverage of their section.
? Perform any duties or tasks as required by the kitchen management.
You must have:
? Previously worked within a high standard fine dining establishments
Responsible for the production and have knowledge and competency of Maki Sushi, Nigiri Sushi and Sashimi
Must have experience cooking Japanese Cuisine, including experience in stove and frying.
?Minimum 2 year Chef de Partie proven experience
? Passion for food preparation and eagerness to develop and continue their career as a Chef
