TGSR is looking to recruit two Associate Town Planners on behalf of a high profile client. The right candidates can be based in London or West Midlands.

Person Specification

• Have relevant planning degree or equivalent qualification preferably chartered or working towards.


• Have detailed knowledge of the British Town Planning system


• Have solid Town planning experience working on various projects from large-scale residential developments to complex listed building.


• Be able to write/ contribute towards planning strategies


• Be able to present and negotiate fee proposals and tenders


• Having past experience working in both public and private sector would be advantageous

Duties

• Closely liaise with an array of private clients, local authorities and government agencies on projects within areas such as Mixed Use, Retail, Residential and Housing


• Be involved in the entire development process from project conception to completion


• Contributing to Planning Statements, Environmental Statements and Design & Access Statements


• Providing research and analysis by contributing to retail and town centre studies for local authorities


• Review planning deliverables to a very high standard including high level options appraisals, preparing and reviewing documents for planning applications, and also planning policy preparation and advice


• Draw up, present and negotiate fee proposals and tenders


• Develop a strong relationship with existing internal and external clients


• Drafting reports and planning submission
