Head of Finance
This role is an exciting opportunity to act as head of finance for a central government agency based in Central London. In this position, you will be responsible for managing a team of 7, where 3 are qualified accountants. Other key aspects of the role include leading the team through the financial year end and producing the budgets & forecasts throughout the coming financial year.

Description
The key aspects of this role include:
- Having full responsibility for the running of the financial operations within the agency
- Maintaining – and improving, where needed – the financial systems and procedures utilized by the organisation
- Helping your team to produce the annual accounts, including the consolidation returns to the central department this agency reports in to
- Managing the budget setting and monitoring processes and also working on financial planning and forecasting
- Overseeing the productions of the monthly management accounts
- with internal and external budget holders
- Deputising for the Director of Resources on financial matters
- Aiding the Director of Resources in reviewing investment proposals
- Review the quarterly VAT returns produces by your team
- Performing ad-hoc tasks where required
Profile
- Qualified accountant
- Post qualification experience in a senior financial role
- Recent hands on accounting experience also desirable
- The ability to build strong relationships
- Advanced Excel skills – able to manipulate macros and pivot tables
Job Offer
- 6 month contract
- £350 a day
