Assistant Paraplanning Manager – Asset Management Firm Location: London Salary: £40k – £47k + package (dependent on experience) Role Type: Full Time; Permanent
Our client is an award-winning asset management firm, providing a range of financial services. They form part of a larger group that is listed on the London Stock Exchange, and the group is also a member of the FTSE 250. Our client is now seeking a Paraplanner wanting to take steps into a management role to report directly to the Paraplanning Managers and to assist in the management of the Paraplanning team.
Skills and attributes fundamental to the role include:
- Diploma-level qualifications (DipPFS/DipFA)
- Experience in a Paraplanning role (ideally 3+ years)
- Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of organisation
- Writing reports to a high standard and to tight deadlines
- Undertaking first-rate research in order to provide the best service for clients
- Compiling files and recommendations ahead of meetings in order to assist advisers
- Experience of managing/providing leadership in a team
As a part of the Paraplanning team, there will be responsibilities familiar to those experienced with Paraplanning roles. Additional managerial responsibilities for this role include :
- Reporting directly to the Paraplanning Managers with relevant queries/concerns
- Assisting the Paraplanning Manager with induction/training/development of new Paraplanners to the team
- Reporting to the Paraplanning Managers with input to Annual Performance Reviews and setting objectives
- Performing report checking duties of the team (ultimate responsibility for this lies with the Paraplanning Manager)
- Providing holiday cover for Paraplanning Managers and assisting with holiday approval for Paraplanning team
- Providing a first point of contact for sickness for the Paraplanning team
- Providing an alternative first point of contact for the Paraplanning team
- Monitoring support levels, including recruitment of new Paraplanners if necessary
- Developing management skills though training courses
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £47,000.00 /year
