Building Technology Specialist
My client is a leading integrated support services company with an extensive portfolio of Public Private Partnership Projects and significant main contractor construction experience (Building and Civil Engineering) throughout the UK
To support their growing business they are currently looking for a Building Technology Specialist
A chartered civil/structural engineer with significant build and defects experience would be a good fit for this opportunity.
You will be proficient and have expert knowledge of the complete build process, being instrumental in advising and investigating building defects including but not limited to the following- structures, roofs, envelopes, foundations, flooring, glass panels etc.
There is complete flexibility UK wide as to where the role can be based
About the Role:
You will be working within the Construction Technical Services Team providing technical advice relating to building projects primarily. Your role will be to investigate reports of non-performance pre-construction and defects during the construction phase.
Candidate Requirements:
Civil/Structural Engineer with significant build experience- commercial, health, education projects
Chartered Engineer MICE and/or CIOB
Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer with minimum HNC, preferably qualified to degree level
Competent with Health & Safety management
Ideally experienced within a main construction contractor and/or currently working for an Engineering Consultancy and looking for a career in main contracting
Extensive experience in a management / leadership role involving knowledgeable customers, technical staff and specialist suppliers, demonstrably capable of delivering the challenging objectives that arise from project activities.
Extensive previous demonstrable experience of work in a main contracting environment in a similar role.
The ideal candidate will already be leading individual projects from scheme design to completion, being able to gain the confidence of both client and the design team members.
