Business Systems Analyst




Our client is an award-winning international law firm that can trace it roots to the late 1800s. Perhaps uniquely among major firms, they have retained a major client from this time. The firm now has a global reach spanning Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East and Latin America.

They are now looking to hire a Business Systems Analyst to support, develop and upgrade the firm’s critical business systems ensuring that on-going business requirements are met.


Responsibilities


Assist on improvements, development and further integration of the firm’s current practice management system (PMS) and other finance-related systems.


Lead a work stream on the new PMS project, including analysis and requirements, business process, documentation, sign-off from stakeholders, development and configuration.


Extract data and assist with the production of adhoc and periodic reports for both internal and external purposes, using tools such as SSRS, Cognos & SQL.


Develop and implement functional solutions to support business requirements.


Review and action data integrity for the PMS system and solve/escalate issues.


Create and maintain system configuration and process documentation for various business systems.


Create and deliver system training for all users of the firm’s business systems in conjunction with the IT training team.


Upon completion of projects, create and provide handover documentation.


Candidate Profile


Confident and clear communication, verbal and written, with people at all levels of the business hierarchy.


Proactive nature, hardworking and organised, with a structured approach to work.


Excellent working knowledge of SQL


Proven experience of implementing and developing a practice management system within an international legal services environment.


Excellent knowledge of an expense recovery tool.


Expert in MS SQL Server programming and associated products, including SSRS.
