News Journalist – This Morning

We are looking for an assistant news producer to join our news team at ITV’s flagship daytime show, This Morning.

You will need to be a dynamic journalist who knows how to spot a brilliant story and be the first to secure it. You will have a bursting contacts book and be able to consistently generate ideas for news stories on a daily basis.

You will be an experienced and self-motivated journalist and a true team player with a proven track record of generating ideas and stories. You will have excellent organisation and planning skills and the ability to prioritise heavy workloads, meet frequent tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure.

You will need to write concise, detailed and accurate briefs for the presenters and be able to drive and react to an ever-changing news agenda during two hours of live television every day.

We are looking for a confident individual who can demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility and will not be fazed by the prospect of producing an outside broadcast at short notice and on your own.
