My client school is a specialist SEMH and ASD school, catering to primary and secondary aged pupils with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. They are looking for someone to work with their high functioning Autistic pupils (HFA) in the primary site it is essential that you are an excellent classroom practitioner who has experience in progressing pupils who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

So, as a Primary school teacher could you specialise in Autism (SEN Teacher – ASD)?

Yes, absolutely we are looking for teachers who have the following, a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum, experience in progressing pupils who are on the autistic spectrum, a passion for special educational needs and an excellent knowledge of positive behaviour methods.
