Salary scale: £33,574.00 – £36,671.00

The School of Social and Life Sciences at Glyndŵr University is looking for a full time Lecturer in Psychology, specialising in experimental psychology, in order to support the delivery of the BPS accredited BSc (Hons) Psychology and Postgraduate courses.

The post holder will contribute to the teaching of psychology, specialising in experimental psychology mainly at Undergraduate, but also at Postgraduate level. They will be engaged in a range of activities including lectures, tutorials, support for experiments and assessment.

The candidate should hold a Doctoral degree specialising in an aspect of experimental psychology (or be near to completion). The postholder will be expected to actively contribute to the developing research profile within the subject area and school. He/she will be able to communicate effectively, have excellent organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to work to targets. The candidate should demonstrate an existing interest in learning and teaching in Psychology and the ability to maintain accurate documentation. The postholder will hold or be supported to achieve Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a thriving psychology research environment with approximately 150 undergraduate and 50 post graduate students, a developing experimental laboratory with technician and an active research centre.
