Job Description
The Revenue Department is responsible for ensuring budget is achieved by maximizing room sales, rates and occupancies in line with strategy.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Assist in proactively reviewing & implementing accommodation and meeting room rate and volume controls on a weekly and monthly basis and oversee the daily inventory control
- Observe rate parity agreements with 3rd party distribution sites
- Work with Front Desk teams to ensure strategies are in place to maximise room occupancy outside revenue office operating hours
- Full exploitation of theOpera property management system
- Participating in preparation of the annual budget and revenue plan
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly checklist tasks for the maintenance of the yield management system
- Maintain rate parity with third party sites through the extranet
- Liaise with the Director of Sales, Sales and M&E departments regarding short, mid and long term strategies
- Monitor competitor pricing and products, understand local market and demand generators.
- Analyse past and present trends and agree on action for future strategies
- Assist with implementation and analysis of e-commerce activities within the Arora Group
- Participate in strategy meetings
- Preparation of reports
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous hotel and reservations experience preferred
- Advanced level IT knowledge – hotel systems, Excel, PowerPoint, word
- Ability to evaluate complex written and numerical data and recognize trends
- Financial Acumen
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- A smart and professional appearance
- Ability to work accurately and effectively whilst under pressure in a fast paced environment
