Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Sport and Exercise Psychology

Lecturer salary band – £22,549 – £27,939
Senior Lecturer salary band – £28,665 – £32,213

An opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to become part of the Higher Education Sports Department, supporting delivery from level 4 to 7.  The successful candidate will have a broad sport background and ability to support general sport science modules as well as deliver specialist sports psychology modules.  Candidates will have completed their PhD (or be near completion) and gained some experience of teaching and / or applied work. Ideally, you will have BPS Chartered status or BASES accreditation (or be working towards this) and furthermore will have experience of publishing within the field.

The role requires contribution to ongoing curriculum development with an emphasis on innovation in teaching, learning and assessment.  You will possess the knowledge and skills to contribute to the delivery of a range of modules in sport and exercise psychology and skill acquisition across our portfolio of courses.  You will also be expected to contribute to course administration and student academic support and will have opportunity to develop and extend your research interests and professional links, to the benefit of the student experience.
