Person Specification for SEN English Teacher
We are looking for an energetic SEN English Teacher (or an English Teacher from mainstream) who has some experience of teaching children with Special Educational Needs and 2 years’ teaching experience. You should have the capability to rise to new challenges as they occur, by keeping your approach flexible and helping students who display various special educational needs such as ASD and MLD. You will have an empathetic and caring attitude and the confidence to maintain authority in challenging situations.
About the Role of SEN English Teacher
As a SEN English Teacher at this school you will be moving into an especially focused English Department. As a SEN English Teacher you will be utilising the departments impressive resources and teaching only up to GCSE. Students are currently on track to receive GCSE Results of D-E with some on track to receive a C grade. All staff are offered a variety of training and opportunities for CPD and increasing their skillset; this training will have a positive impact on your teaching standards and help you throughout the rest of your career. As a SEN English Teacher you will have the support of a professional Teaching Assistant and work in a department who believe in a creative, innovative approach.
