OB DESCRIPTION – SECURITY ATTENDANT

Job Title: Security Attendant

Responsible to: Manager

Responsible for:
Providing a security presence throughout the premises to safeguard the property of Goals customers
Purpose of Job:
Provide a high visibility presence throughout the car parks and other areas of the premises to prevent car crime / guide customers to vacant parking spaces & generally re assure customers that their property will be safe whilst on Goals premises.

Overview of main duties and responsibilities

• Patrolling the car park areas to provide a highly visible presence to prevent car crime.

• Ensure anyone loitering within the facility is asked to move on – if they do not do so inform the duty manager to assess if the police should be called.

• Remain vigilant at all times of suspicious individuals hanging around the premises and report to the duty manager when necessary.

• Maintain two way radio communication with reception and the duty manager at all times to be able to respond quickly to any incidents that may arise.

• Occasionally patrol the foyer / changing room areas and pitch access pathways to ensure areas are not being used inappropriately.

• At all times when patrolling the site it will be necessary to be aware of the presentation of the facility and remove litter as and when it appears.

• As the premises are closing down for the day it will be necessary to close all windows, lock all doors and close all security shutters and ensure that the perimeter of the building is secured.

• At the end of each day it will be necessary to remain on the premises until the last staff are ready to leave and exit the building at this time to ensure that no one is required to leave the premises on their own.

• Such other duties as may be necessary from time to time, compatible with the nature of the post. It should be noted that this list is not exhaustive and serves simply to give an overall view of the position and key responsibilities of the post.
