Management Accountant

Our client, a creative, International Music and distribution business, has an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their team. They have a vibrant, relaxed and enjoyable environment based in Central London.

Working closely with the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting as well as being commercially focused with the ability to challenge and drive cost reductions through monthly cost reporting meetings.

The role:

– Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries

– Assist in producing monthly management reports;

– Prepare month end journals;

– Prepare accruals and prepayments;

– Reconciliation of multicurrency bank accounts and cashflow statements.

– Monthly reconciliation of all intercompany accounts, reconciling and actioning as appropriate;

– Balance sheet reconciliations;

– Assist in pulling together statutory accounts information at year end to aid the audit process;

Ideally you will be an experienced Management Accountant, minimum Part-Qualified / Finalist or Newly Qualified level with ACCA or CIMA. Preferably, you will have gained experience in the Entertainment or Media industry in a similar role.

The person:

– Proficient IT skills, ability to use Excel, experience of Paprika would be a distinct advantage;

– Thorough with excellent attention to detail;

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and build excellent working relationships;

– Positive, “can-do” attitude with hands on approach;

– Ideally 3 years previous Management accounting experience.
