Position: Joinery CAD Technician

Location: Enfield, EN3

Salary: £28,000 –£40,000 per annum

Employment: Permanent

In this role you will provide accurate information for the joinery process and correct input for surveying, detailing, scheduling, procurement, manufacture of joinery elements. You will also work closely with project managers, site managers, and production staff to ensure the production deadlines are met.

The duties involve –

·Read, evaluate and interpret designs and drawings by other Team Professionals for inclusion within designs

·Convert verbal and written information into two dimensional drawings used in the fabrication workshop and on site for construction — accuracy and attention to detail are essential

·Ensure designs are compliant with building, quality and technical standards

·Produce procurement schedules and cutting sheets which must be produced in a reasonable timeline to allow production to happen on time and to programme

·Conduct surveys and turn that information into full production drawings

·Work to programme achieving a good turnaround of work to enable procurement and factory process to happen on time and in correct order

·Produce correct information 1st time through for approval by client, update the drawings in line with received comments and issue the drawings for manufacture

·Itemise drawings for the CNC machines

The Requirements –

– Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers / subcontractors as well as site management

– Proactivity in sourcing new suppliers to form a more robust supply base

– Brilliant organisational and time management skills

– Focus, dedication and good sense of team spirit.

– Strong IT skills with the ability to produce statistical analysis for senior management and to interpret and act on this analysis to drive improvements in your own role.
