The team currently consists of a Senior Learning and Development Manager, a Learning and Development Manager and a Learning and Development Administrator, and forms part of the wider HR team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of internal training courses [ including scheduling, liaising with training representatives, booking rooms, managing diaries, sending reminders, arranging catering, IT equipment and course materials, preparing all training materials and sending out post-course evaluation requests]
- Create, maintain and regularly update intranet content
- Help advise on CPD requirements for solicitors, barristers, trainee solicitors and legal executives and record CPD/PSC hours
- Maintain training database (including compliance e-learning modules) and produce training reports as requested
- Manage all requests for external training to ensure internal processes are followed, including booking external courses, paying invoices and managing diaries
- Monitor the L&D budget and prepare monthly reports
- Collate and analyse data (including training needs analysis data) and provide regular training reports as required
- General administrative support for the Learning and Development team, and for the wider HR team where required
- Meeting and briefing new joiners on induction.
Key Skills & Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role in a professional services environment is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
- A confident and professional manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong IT skills (including a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and Databases)
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- A flexible approach to work
