Our client opened its doors in 2014 providing spaces for up to 70 children aged between 3 months to 8 years. My client is proud to provide a warm and friendly environment for your child, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

About The Role:

The setting needs a confident and driven manager. A good knowledge of child development is therefore essential to ensure that all the children’s individual needs are fully met. The manager is responsible for the activities and progress in the nursery in order to create and develop a stimulating environment by providing a high level of quality childcare whilst maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff. This involves supporting the staff with the co-ordinating of the short and medium-term planning and prioritisation of the activities within the staff team in order to meet the curriculum requirements. You will work as part of a team and will be expected to have a clear understanding of your role and the role of other professionals. You will share information with other professionals in a timely manner and work together for the safety and well-being of the child.

The Manager is responsible for the recruitment process and will be required to ensure that the nursery is a profitable business and provides a fun and safe environment for all children.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

 NNEB, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or above

 Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation

 Knowledge of OFSTED standards

 Excellent knowledge of the EYFS

 Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines

 Good time management skills

 Excellent communication skills

 Strong people management skills

 Knowledge and understand of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.

 Broad relevant childcare experience in a nursery environment
