Under a recent reorganisation Plan International has brought together its global policy, advocacy, campaigns, communications and partnership activity into one department, led by an executive director.

The ambition of the Global Influencing and Partnerships (GIP) directorate is to substantially increase Plan International’s influence, by driving changes in policies, behaviours and practice at international, regional, national and local level, so as to make a substantial improvement in the lives of children and in particular the rights of girls.

The Opportunity

Because I am a Girl is a global movement driven by Plan International to transform power relations so girls everywhere can learn, lead, decide and thrive.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team to provide a crucial role in supporting the successful development, implementation and reporting of Plan International’s significant global initiative to create a world that values girls, promotes their rights and ends injustice.

As a champion for the movement you will build ownership and enthusiasm throughout the organisation, driving the flow of insight and best

You will provide overall project design and management, producing the overall project documentation, including aims and outcomes, planning and phasing, reporting, budget, critical path, risk assessment and managing issues.

In consultation with others you will also produce a critical path analysis for the development of the global initiative to underpin the development of a global movement to realise girls rights, bringing expertise and experience to all stages of the process.

The Person

With significant experience in the structured management of complex, cross-organisational projects gained in INGOs, private or public sectors you will have developed and managed successful integrated campaigns and initiatives with the proven ability to work across advocacy, communications or funraising functions.

You will use your strong influencing and communication skills to build and encourage a positive, committed atmosphere, driving yourself and others to achieve challenging results.
