On-Call Care Coordinator
Lifecare Professionals is a growing organisation providing domiciliary care across London and the South East. The agency arm provides about 3500 hours of care a week to private and direct payments clients.
We are looking for a dynamic, organised and knowledgeable on-call coordinator to join our team. The candidate will not only be required to ensure that we meet and surpass our regulatory requirements and also to grow the business by developing relationships with our existing commissioning teams.
The position will be based mainly at our Stratford office. The ideal candidate will be hard working, entrepreneurial and work well as part of a team. They will also have the NVQ Level 2 and 2 years experience of working in a senior care worker capacity in a domiciliary care setting.
The position is based at our Stratford Office but home working arragements will be considered.
Standard Hours of work are
Friday: 18:00-22:00
Sat – Sunday: 07:00 – 13:00 and 15:00-22:00
Monday 07:00-09:30

Purpose of Position
The overall aim of the position is to help implement the requirements of the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, published in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008
- To answer all incoming calls during the out of hours period
- To liaise with carers to deal with any issues raised during the out of hours period
- Assigning support workers to service users in line with the standards, processes and requirements of the organisation when required to do so
- To update the rostering system with details of actions undertaken during the out of hours period
- To provided detailed and accurate information about all calls received during the out of hours period to the daytime staff
- To conduct quality assurance checks during out of hours as requested by management (e.g. conduct telephone spot checks)
- Working with other members of the administrative team to ensure high quality service provision
- Maintaining a good level of communication with all relevant parties involved in the provision of service users’ care
Person Specification — Essential Criteria
The following qualities are considered essential for the post of on-call coordinator:
a. at least two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within the previous five years
b. an advanced care qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
c. Computer literate
d. able to take responsibility
e. leadership skills
f. self motivated
g. organised
h. flexible (ability to work weekends is essential)
i. an active team player but also able to work on own initiative
j. a good communicator
k. committed to high standards
l. committed to training.
