As a candidate, you must have experience as an SEN teaching assistant. The key to this role will be commitment and dedication. Applicants who are not looking to commit themselves entirely to a school should not consider applying. Graduate applicants must also have some previous experience of working with children in an educational capacity. Having previously worked as a teaching assistant is of course preferable, but is not essential.
