Assistant Financial Accountant - Top 20 firm

Are you a qualified AAT or part qualified ACCA Assistant Financial Accountant / Senior Accounts Assistant looking for your next challenge? Are you looking to work in a varied and challenging new position working for a large Top 20 accountancy firm based in a prime location in Central London? Based in the busy finance department, you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operation of the firm’s financial accounting function. Your role will be a combination of being hands on and supervisory, and an element of your role will include managing juniors and reviewing their work. Your individual responsibilities will include: raising invoices, reconciliations of various accounts, weekly cash flows, Vat returns, petty cash, process expense claims, journal entries, fixed assets, payroll reporting, sales and purchase ledger, credit control, accruals and prepayments, ad hoc projects and any other duties required. Training will be provided where necessary. You will liaise with all the departments within the firm and learn a number of great transferable skills which will benefit you in your future career. To be considered for this interesting and varied new position (February 2016) you will ideally be a fully qualified AAT or a part qualified ACCA and have at least three years of experience acting as an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Financial Accountant, ideally within an accountancy firm or a professional practice firm although candidates from other sectors will still be considered. Qualified by experience and ACCA qualified candidates will also be considered. You must work to high standards, be able to meet tight deadlines, have a sense of humour and be a team player. Experience of a range of software packages (particularly sageline 50 and Access Dimensions) would be an advantage.
