Business Development Manager
To plan and carry out sales activities, so as to maintain and develop sales of TB’s IT range to UK medium and large businesses.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities of Business Development Manager:
- Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database.
- Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims
- Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed strategy.
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction.
- Use customer and prospect contact activity tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
- Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail and marketing to major account prospects.
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiry’s by post, telephone, and personal visits.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned and individual activities.
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Scale and territory indicators:
Core Target sectors: All major organisations having between 300 and 3000 staff.
Typical account value target of £5k profit per month.
Total personal profit accountability potentially £0.25M pa.
Territory: UK.
