Loose Women
is a show that’s making waves – and headlines – around the world. Whether it’s getting celebrities to open up like never before (think Burt Reynolds’ controversial comments on Charlie Sheen) or flying in Hollywood stars like Goldie Hawn to guest present, Daytime’s longest-running talk show continues to set the news agenda every weekday for our million-plus viewers. And now, you have a chance to join our talented team…

We are looking for a superstar Day Producer, brimming with brilliant, never-seen-before ideas for TV content that will continue to get our viewers talking. You must know the topics that are guaranteed to get our audience going and be able to source interesting and unique stories before they break anywhere else. The ideal candidate will be able to turn current affairs, showbiz, human interest and hard news stories into compelling debates, knowing just how to strike that delicate balance between light and shade on a show.

You will know how to get the best from a celebrity guest and establish and maintain strong relationships with PRs and talent to ensure the best content is featured on the show. You will have a journalistic background and be used to working in a live news environment.

Previous experience of live daytime television is desirable as is experience of managing teams and budgets effectively. You must have an understanding of compliance guidelines and OFCOM regulations and a flexible approach to work as you will be working to a shift pattern, which will on occasion include weekends and bank holidays.

Last, but not least, a great sense of humour is a must – as well as talking about the tough issues of the day, Loose Women provides our viewers with a laugh at lunchtime.

If you think you fit the bill and thrive on the buzz of working on a live network programme, we’d love to hear from you!

“ITV, where creativity, diversity and collaboration put us right at the heart of popular culture”

Please send your CV plus FIVE ideas for topics you think would be perfect for a Loose Women show, as well as THREE newsworthy guest suggestions you believe would create great content and headlines for the show.

Closing date for applications: 11th February 2016
