FRENCH SPEAKING HUMANITIES TEACHER: MARYLEBONE, LONDON

The School
We are L’Ecole Internationale Franco- Anglaise, an independent, international, co-educational, bilingual school. We are looking for a Humanities teacher to join us for the August 2016 academic year. This role is to teach classes in French, alongside the English counterpart already in place.

All applications will be handled through our strategic recruitment partners, Edvectus.

Our Schools are genuinely different because we teach almost all subjects in both English and French. Our approach is child-centred, with a focus on the individual children’s needs, and diversity is at the heart of our philosophy. Our method of bilingual learning is seen to enhance cognitive dexterity and thus forms an ideal preparation for higher education.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a full time humanities teacher ( possibility also for part time), with the ability to teach classes in French. The benefits are many: the secondary school is still relatively young (it opened in August 2015), so class sizes are small and you would be able to put your stamp on the department development and be a part of the creation of something wonderful. The working environment is superb and the school is a fee-paying independent school so the parents are helpful and motivated.

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid, current right to work in the UK with more than 2 years duration is required such as an EU passport, UK indefinite Leave to Remain or Ancestry visa. Work visas cannot be sponsored by the school.

  • Teachers must be fully qualified with a PGCE, BEd or equivalent to teach in a stage school system for Primary and Secondary Teacher

  • Hold a current DBS (Enhanced) / or equivalent if from outside the UK

  • Bilingual French/English speaker

Salary: in the region of £27,000 to £35,000 per annum.
