The University of Portsmouth is inviting applications for our fully funded PhD bursary studentships for Home/ EU students, to start in October 2016. These PhD studentships are offered on a full time basis for up to four years. We welcome applications linked to our areas of international and world-class research:

A limited number of these highly competitive PhD studentships are available as part of the IFRI scheme.

As you begin your PhD, you will be allocated a team of expert supervisors who will advise you and support your academic and professional development throughout your studies. Within the first few weeks of joining us you will receive a comprehensive induction to life as a postgraduate research student at the University. As part of the induction process you will be introduced to the staff, researchers and the services available to you. It will also give you the opportunity to meet other research degree students and supervisors.
