Senior Exhibitions Manager - Victoria & Albert Museum - South Kensington

You will be responsible for the delivery of a number of V&A temporary exhibitions, touring exhibitions and commissions. You will manage up to 4 Exhibitions Managers, each of whom will have responsibility for the delivery of up to 4 different exhibitions. You will provide support and guidance on all elements of exhibition coordination, including content, transport, design, build and installation. You will be responsible for drawing up and negotiating a range of contracts, including agreements with Tour Venues, Curators, Consultants, Contractors, Exhibition Designers and other stakeholders. You will also contribute to the wider management of the Exhibitions team, including staff development, process improvement, training and resource allocation.

You will have proven experience of managing large-scale exhibitions and touring exhibitions, delivering projects to budget and schedule. This includes experience of working with multidisciplinary exhibitions including complex digital technologies. You will have experience of preparing and negotiating contracts and will have previous experience of managing and developing staff.

With a museum or gallery background, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with excellent organisational skills and a high level of initiative.
