TGSR is looking to recruit an experienced Operational Director – Highway / Infrastructure on behalf of a high profile client

Person Specification

• Relevant degree in relation to transport planning, with chartered membership or working towards
• A solid technical experience to support transport team in areas such as Highway Design & Infrastructural projects
• Good understanding of Drainage schemes and transport planning
• Ability to perform assessments and make decisions that apply to transport issues within UK planning system
• Experience of giving expert evidence at hearings or Public Inquiries
• Have consultancy experience and proven ability to develop and manage strong relationships with client and internal team members
• Good financial and project management
• Ability to generate new work through networking
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Duties

• Direct operations for the transport cost centre
• Lead the transport team of highways civil engineers to work on on-going projects ensuring that the projects are being delivered efficiently
• Strategically and financial manage projects through required life cycles
• Provide technical direction for the transport teams, helping to resolve complex technical issues
• Client Relationship Management at all levels in client organisations
