United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Regional Portfolio Officer, Myanmar
As our proactive and adaptable Regional Portfolio Officer you’ll be the focal point for Country office and Save the Children UK interaction, ensuring effective project cycle oversight through the entire process, and that our in-country programmes benefit the children we serve.

Assuming a pivotal role in the department, as Regional Portfolio Officer you will contribute to the achievement of portfolio targets, and to the development of new business practices and tools, while forging and maintaining key donor relationships. You will also:
- Lead on the timely creation of institutional proposals, contracts and reports, evaluations, audits and management – in support of the quality delivery of the end-to-end grant cycle
- Be the project / bid manager for proposal development of SCUK institutional Home Donor proposals, monitoring and overseeing donor projects
- Negotiate contracts with funders, deal with quality assurance steps, and contribute to reviews and consultations
- Provide capacity building for country office staff, supporting them in meeting key deliverables
- Build strong and effective relationships with key staff and their counterparts in Save the Children International country offices.
You will be motivated by a desire to effect change in the lives of children. You will have a working knowledge of the region, an understanding of the context and operating environment issues, and strong project cycle management experience. You will additionally have:
- Competency in financial processes and reporting
- Strong relationship development skills, particularly at a distance
- Extensive experience working with institutional donors, such as DFID, EC, ECHO, etc.
- A background in project and grant / contract management, with knowledge of institutional donor compliance requirements
- Experience of effective management of PBR risk and / or fee-based contracts, and of project proposal development and report writing.
