Contract Service Desk Analyst (1st Line support) – London – International bank

c.£170 p/d- initial 6 month term

An opportunity has arisen to join this banking group in a contract Service Desk Analyst capacity to work out of the London hub (employing c.1500 individuals) with a 350+ strong IT unit supporting the EMEA region. This bank is very healthy pre/during/post the crash. IT is well funded with the majority of IT kept in house.

This role sits within a large IT Systems office supporting a user base of over 1500, you will work within a 1st line / 2nd line capacity supporting core desktop applications such as Windows 7, Office 2010 and Outlook within a virtual desktop environment ( Citrix VDI ). You will need to have a good understanding of ITIL Service Management and ideally be certified.

Key duties
1st Line Support – technical troubleshooting and incident resolution
Escalation to 2nd / 3rd line if possible
Compliance with core ITIL principles and internal governance / service desk frameworks and policy

Key skills (Essential skills needed)
1st line support experience within a financial or banking environment
Support and technical troubleshooting with – Windows 7, Office 2010, Outlook
Experience supporting a Virtual Desktop infrastructure
Support of Citrix published applications (VDI)
ITIL understanding – ideally certified

Due to the environment of the role and organisation, we are looking for individuals with prior experience supporting a banking or financial organisation.

Daily rate – c. £150-170 p/d
Initial 6 month term

This role will require shift based work with some out of hours and weekend work.
