As a Funeral Service Operative, you’ll ensure the smooth running of the funeral home, and a respectful goodbye for every client. You’ll always demonstrate real commitment and attention to detail as part of a friendly and helpful team.

You’ll thrive on the variety of this role. There are emotional demands as you help to provide the highest standards of care at all times. There’ll also be physical demands, including lifting and carrying, and you’ll be involved with driving our vehicles and maintaining our fleet, checking that everything is as it should be before each ceremony. And, as an important part of the on-call Funeral Service Operative team, you’ll help us offer our caring, professional service any time of the day or night.

Able to work to deadlines and follow a schedule, you’ll happily follow instructions. With a confident and professional telephone manner, you’ll be flexible and care passionately about detail and accuracy in everything you do. Expertly prioritising your work, you’ll display plenty of initiative and offer a confidential, diplomatic and discreet service.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to work towards a nationally-recognised qualification in Funeral Operations and Services and the chance to increase your salary accordingly, once you have completed your qualification.
