Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting an Experienced Housing Manager for one of the world’s most recognisable charities who specialise in the provision of support, guidance and housing for homeless young people.

£33,789 per annum
Full Time, Permanent
Based in Ealing and Uxbridge (covering 2 sites)

The primary purpose of their Uxbridge and Ealing Projects is to provide high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with associated facilities for young vulnerable people to develop their personal and social skills sufficient for them to live independently in a sustainable way after moving on.
Working with the Area Housing Manager and other colleagues the Housing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the functions which supports the residents. The Uxbridge project is a partnership with a local Church. The Housing Manager will work with the Church, and their Youth Department in promoting and realising the vision for the Projects.
The Housing Manager is responsible for 17 staff and 49 residents between the ages of 16-35 with low to medium support needs across both projects. You will ensure delivery of excellent housing management and support services to customers living in mixed accommodation in both the projects. You will make sure that the projects remain on a sound financial footing and comply with Supporting People requirements as well as all other relevant quality standards.
On a day to day basis this will include:
- Management of the budget and monitoring of income to the project
- Overseeing all support provided to residents and management of the staff teams
- Working to build and maintain partnerships with local agencies and community groups
- Actively involve residents in the running of the project.

Suitable candidates will:
- Have the ability to work both operationally and strategically
- Possess solid knowledge and experience of housing and support
- Extensive experience of working in supported housing at line management level
- Knowledge of the Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework
- Be highly performance driven and financially astute
- Customers focused and committed to continuous service improvement
- Strong staff and budget management skills
- Aptitude to communicate at all levels
- Able make decisions under pressure
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to represent our service and the organisation
- Good ICT skills
