Introduction

This multi-faceted photographic role will sit at the heart of the Lidl UK Advertising department, ensuring that our Production team receives high-quality packshots and food images for the weekly in-store leaflet, posters, press and TV.

This creative and technical role requires skilled use of SLR cameras, capture software, strobe studio lighting and Adobe Photoshop. Another crucial aspect of this role is working with the head photographer to maintain a busy studio, assisting with lighting and general day-to-day tasks.

The Role

• Photographing packshots and food
• Retouching/colouring correct images for print
• Maintaining Lidl image libraries
• Sourcing and organising samples and props
• Liaising with departments across Head Office for studio requirements
• Maintaining the Photo Studio Space
• Assisting fellow photographers and other team employees with ad-hoc tasks

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have proven experience working within a photographic environment
• Experience with Packshot, Food and Strobe photography as well as colour correcting and retouching
• Proficient with Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Wacom pen tablets for pathing images and retouching
• Able to navigate around a Mac effortlessly with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
• Confident and able to work well as part of a team
• Highly organised, able to work to set deadlines and prioritise their own workload
• Experience working with briefs and producing imagery for commercial purposes
• Travelling off-site to stores and locations (a valid full UK driving licence is therefore essential)
