Trainee Recruitment Consultant




COMPANY


My client, a leading construction recruitment firm based near Bank, Central London are looking to recruit an apprentice recruitment consultant to join its growing construction teams. Specializing in recruitment across Construction including engineers, project managers and site managers they have developed into a leading supplier and are seeking apprentices to train and develop into a recruitment role.


ROLE


As an apprentice/trainee consultant you will be guided in your learning by a senior member of the recruitment team helping develop your skills and industry knowledge. This apprenticeship will suite those with minimal to no recruitment experience, recent school/college leavers or young individuals looking for a change of employment. Due to the nature of the apprenticeship full training and support will be provided over the 12 month course with the possibility to move on afterwards to a full time position within the company.


DUTIES


Your day to day duties can include:


  • Searching for candidates through adverts, job boards and company database

  • Spell checking and posting job adverts on job boards

  • Contacting candidates, arranging interviews, assessing staff and adding new candidates on to company databases.

  • Cold calling companies to generate leads and business

  • Working towards key performance indicators and targets

  • Supporting senior members of the team

  • Answering incoming calls, taking messages and dealing with appropriately

  • Editing CV’s to send to senior consultant/companies

  • Any other duties as directed in relation to the job role.

REQUIRMENT


As this is an apprenticeship no previous experience is required, however you will need to meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for the role. Whether you have recent left school or college and are looking for your first step on the career ladder or even an alternative to further education an apprenticeship is the best path.


In a recruitment role you will need to be resilient, a strong team player, driven, ambitious and motivated (both to be successful and for financial gain).


Previous experience in a sales/office based role or having worked or studied within construction would be advantageous but not essential.
