Home based – with visits to learners based on site in London, Essex, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Kent.


£25,000 to £27,000 and excellent benefits


Are you an experienced professional from the Mortgage or Banking Services sector, looking to start or continue a career in Trainingor Assessing? We’re looking for you!

We are ideally seeking Assessors who have experience in the Mortgage or Business Banking sectors who want to become a trainer / assessor, OR you could be an experienced Assessor / Trainer who has a some experience this area i.e. experience working as a Banking Clerk, Mortgage Advisor or customer Service professional for a bank.


You will work from home, managing your own diary and case load and visiting a number of learners on one key site, with additional sites in and around the locations, so you must be able to travel. All costs for training / assessing delivery purposes covered.

What you will do:


  • Design and deliver innovative high quality, informative and inspiring training / mentoring or coaching sessions to groups of learners.

  • Identify and assess learners’ needs and put in place robust learning plans, with realistic and challenging goals, that enable learners to understand their personal journey and realise their potential.

  • Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the entire learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification. Contact will be varied and might include face to face, email, Skype, webinars etc.

  • Observe, mark, assess and review work produced by learners to ensure it is of the appropriate standard to reflect the learner’s qualification and meet the needs of the awarding body. Provide insightful, constructive and informative feedback to help the learner maximize their potential.

  • Proactively monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of own workload and working practices to ensure deadlines and targets are met and that the learner has an outstanding experience.

Your experience will include:


  • Strong occupational experience in relevant sector (Financial Sercvices / banking or mortgage industries)

  • Significant experience of group and 1-on-1 delivery

  • Learner focused with a proven track record in supporting their achievement retention and motivation

  • Assessor qualification such as D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA desirable

  • PTLLS/DTLLS/CTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification desirable
