Reed Engineering have a brilliant new opportunity for a enthusiastic and skilled Design Engineer to join a specialist team within the manufacturing Industry. The Client is dedicated to providing solutions to many of today’s production problems and demands with the design and manufacture of bespoke systems.

My client is looking for a Design Engineer with 3D CAD (they use Solid Edge but specific package experience not essential) and Engineering skills, ideally on consumer products. A large portion of workload could be Engineering Changes, drawing/BOM checks, minor changes to existing designs/components, product reviews and cost savings

Job Duties

• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD ( Solid Edge but specific package experience not essential)

• Previous experience within design on Engineering/Manufacturing products

• Liaising with all internal departments to ensure that projects run smoothly and that technical information is passed on correctly.

• Completes mechanical tasks associated with breakdown maintenance

• Completes mechanical tasks associated with the installation of equipment

• Assist with the maintenance of a detailed programme of work within the department.

• Contribute towards the planning of completion dates, setting of priorities and allocation of work.

• Actively participate in and initiate Design Review meetings.

Job Details

• The company are based in Ilford

• Salary: £30,000 – £40,000

• Working hours of 9am – 17:00 Monday to Friday

• 25 Days Holiday plus all Bank Holidays

The ideal candidate will be confident in communication, delivering results, problem solving, and have good team working skills.
