Compliance Associate - Private Equity - London - 35K





My company is a leading international financial services company that provides services to Private Equity and Real Estate Fund Managers across the globe.


Job Summary


This role will manage compliance infrastructure set-up for clients, which will include performing or managing compliance monitoring in accordance with annual agreed plans.


The role also requires production of client reports, providing information on regulatory developments to clients on periodic and pro-active basis, providing ad-hoc advice to clients as requested, participate in pitching ongoing services and projects when required and leading thematic reviews.


Other projects as requested/needed.


Skills and Knowledge Key areas are as follows:


Financial awareness – understands the principles of managing financial assets.


Relationship management – able to develop strong relationships with clients and intermediaries.


Commercial awareness – has a broad knowledge of the market in which the company operates.


Risk awareness – able to recognise and respond to risk situations and stay up to date with appropriate legislation and professional standards.


IT literacy – uses IT systems and other appropriate software packages effectively.


Communication – demonstrates good listening and questioning skills and has strong spoken and written communication.


Teamwork – consistently volunteers and “pitches in” to help other team members who are under pressure.


Leadership – able to inspire others through own actions and behaviour.


Person Specification


Proven track record within compliance gained within Compliance consultancy.


Ability to implement solutions to address the regulatory requirements of the client.


Sound knowledge of the FCA handbook.


Experience of monitoring and the ability to develop compliance monitoring programmes and techniques.


Strong client facing ability.


Excellent oral and written communication skills.


Qualifications and Experience


Degree educated (or equivalent). Law Preferably


Proven track record within compliance gained within Compliance consultancy.


Ability to implement solutions to address the regulatory requirements of the client.


Sound knowledge of the FCA handbook.


Experience of monitoring and the ability to develop compliance monitoring programmes and techniques.
