Each year millions of people around the world feel the effects of natural disaster and conflict. RedR is an international charity that improves the effectiveness of disaster relief, helping save and rebuild the lives of people affected by disaster worldwide. We do this by delivering essential training and capacity building services to relief organisations and their staff. Our work helps to ensure that the right people with the right skills are responding to global emergencies, and enables both local and international relief workers to react to the needs of those affected by disaster, efficiently and safely.


The Role


The purpose of this role is to run the day to day operations of RedR’s Membership Services. The role has four main functions: to manage the Member pool including day to day communication with Members; to organise recruitment of new Members; to actively engage Members in RedR’s work; and to lead the roll out of Membership services across RedR’s regional offices


Person Specification
Essential


  • Degree level qualification or equivalent, preferably in a relevant subject such as international development, or a similar humanitarian/development related field

  • Excellent representation, people management and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in organising events, highly efficient and detail oriented

  • Experience in the recruitment and selection of staff or volunteers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including using various communication channels

  • Ability to work with people at all levels and from all backgrounds

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Initiative, enthusiasm and a problem-solving approach to new challenges

  • Experience in working with database software, such as Salesforce.

  • Computer literate with good database and MS Office Skills

  • A commitment to our humanitarian mission and values

Preferable


  • Experience with maintaining websites and professional social media communication.

  • Field work experience in humanitarian aid or development
