United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Events Fundraising and Development Manager

It’s hard to believe that today 650 million people still don’t have clean, safe water and one in three people live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute. We need you to bring your extensive experience of events fundraising to help us change that.

As a dynamic, innovative fundraiser with experience of managing and building events, you will be ready to lead a team with an established portfolio. With an events programme including the Glastonbury Festival, Tough Sh!t and charity places in some of Britain’s biggest fundraising events, you will be developing new offers with a team who are thirsty to do more.

Our new mass engagement strategy launches WaterAid on a pathway to greater growth as an organisation and in public awareness. To be successful, you’ll need to bring extensive experience of event development and management, developing ideas and new products, and working within a collaborative environment in an expanding organisation. You will have the courage to challenge the current orthodoxy built on your professional understanding of the fundraiser’s role.

We are looking for someone to join the Community and Events Fundraising team in championing the work of our supporters with enthusiasm and energy. You will have the proven ability to inspire supporters and communicate the difference their support makes.

By 2030 we want everyone everywhere to have clean water and sanitation. We need you to help us make it happen. If you bring your expertise, passion and professionalism, we’ll give you a lot back.

Working with us, you will be entitled to a wide range of employee benefits, such as an exceptional pension fund, medical cash plans, an employee assistance programme, generous annual leave and Save As You Learn schemes, as well as fitness and lifestyle programmes.

Please note: in order to apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK.

This vacancy will end one minute before midnight on the closing date specified. No recruitment age
