The Infrastructure and Climate Change team is one of our core technical teams, specialising in the provision of technical assistance that improves countries abilities to design, maintain and finance infrastructure whilst unlocking opportunities for greener growth in developing countries. Our work enables communities who are vulnerable to the effects of climate change to better plan and adapt to the risks it poses, and we promote access to energy efficient and low carbon technologies to prevent climate change whilst driving growth. To do this the Infrastructure and Climate Change team recruits a number of experts to work in our projects.


About the role


This role will ensure the Infrastructure and Climate Change Team has the right experts, at the right time, to deliver the high quality results we and our clients expect. The role will report directly to the Director of Human Resources, but will also work very closely with the Director of the Infrastructure and Climate Change team.


It provides a fantastic opportunity to create a proactive talent pipeline and develop a sourcing strategy whilst leading day to day recruitment activities.


As part of the Human Resources team you will also collaborate on a variety of projects to achieve broader recruitment “best practice” throughout the organisation. You will be part of a new, dynamic and growing Human Resource team.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:


· Work with project managers and team/leaders to develop, implement and regularly review a workforce plan which is closely aligned to their project needs and business strategy;


· Develop an in-depth understanding of all Infrastructure and Climate Change projects, to ensure you find excellent experts for their positions;


· Identify and develop key sourcing routes, to ensure a constant flow of high calibre associate consultants;


· Deliver headhunting activity through social media searches;


· Support managers to implement “best practice” recruitment throughout the organisation;


· Develop benchmarks, analyse recruitment data and provide regular reports on volume, sourcing, conversion rates to the Human Resource and Infrastructure and Climate Change teams to inform future recruitment activities.

The ideal candidate for this position will also have:


· A good degree in a relevant subject;


· Experience within a fast moving recruitment environment;


· A detailed working knowledge of resourcing best practice;


· Knowledge of processes, systems and media to source excellent candidates;


· Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines;


· Excellent customer service and highly collaborative approach;


· High level of emotional intelligence;


· Good organisation and planning skills;


· Resilience to changing circumstances and challenges;


· Pro-active and result focused approach;


· Excellent oral and written English;


· Eligibility to work in the UK.
