United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: ICS Volunteer Diversity Consultant

An exciting opportunity has become available to support the ICS Programme in developing a set of diversity parameters and targets to apply to our UK volunteer applications. International Citizen Service (ICS) is an opportunity for 18 – 25 year olds to volunteer on a development programme overseas which will lead them into a life long journey of positive community action www.volunteerics.org. As part of our contract and ambition on the programme we want to ensure that our UK volunteers represent the diversity of the UK and that we attract and support young people from different backgrounds to access the scheme. In order to do so we’re looking for someone to help us develop diversity parameters particularly in relation to socio-economic background and propose solutions to successfully measuring diversity.

We are looking for a consultant with experience in equality and diversity within a UK context. You should be used to working with multiple stakeholders, managing a project, researching options and providing succinct reports with clear recommendations.

Experience of working with the charity sector or on government funded programmes would also be helpful.
