Accounr Director





Randstad UK – is multinational human resources consulting firm specialising in temporary and permanent


recruitment, including contract staffing of professionals and senior managers.


We have a fantastic and unique opportunity for an Account Director to join our expanding Pharmaceutical


division, delivering workforce solutions to a wide range of clients from blue chip to SMEs across the UK and


Ireland. You will lead a 30+ strong account team, including an experienced and capable group of Senior


Account Managers, and will be responsible for temporary workforce of circa 2000. This role can be based anywhere in the UK.


This role, newly created due to business growth, offers the opportunity to continue to grow an already


successful division, managing temporary workforce implementations and delivering innovative solutions for


major players in the pharmaceutical industry. There will also be opportunities to connect with Randstad’s


global account team to deliver locally on global projects.


To be successful in this role you must be established within the recruitment industry, with proven experience


in managing relationships and growing business within “white collar” clients, be comfortable leading an


experienced senior team and have a thorough understanding of the implementation and maintenance of


volume temporary workforce solutions.


This role involves a significant amount of travel across the UK and Ireland and therefore you must be flexible


with travel and overnight stays.


You will be responsible for:


Establishing a relationship with key stakeholders at all levels within client accounts, ensuring that


Randstad delivers value-add at every opportunity and works as a strategic partner with the clients


Writing and delivering on a strategy plan for the division, with a view to exceeding company targets


Instilling a proactive, innovative and customer-focused approach across the division, supporting and


driving a high performance culture


Managing the P&L for the pharmaceutical division, driving profitability


Working with in-house Lean Six Sigma experts to drive continuous improvement both internally and in


our service levels to the client


Presenting the quarterly business review to senior stakeholders within client accounts


Improving and monitoring personnel costs


Establishing and maintaining an effective contact chain, extending our network with our clients,


leveraging your own network to create business opportunities with new and existing clients


Ensuring all people management processes are carried out in line with company policies, managing


performance and behaviour within the pharmaceutical division


Key personal qualities required for this role include:


Strong client facing / relationship management


A strategic partner, innovative, with the ability to produce win/win solutions


A focus on engagement and team development


Comfortable communicating and presenting at all levels of the business, including C-level
