  • Level B $93,182 – $110,654 p.a. or

  • Level C $114,147 – $131,622 p.a. 

  • Level D $137,443 – $151,422 p.a.

  • Level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience

The School of Psychology at UWA is ranked 27th in the QS World University rankings by subject and the discipline has achieved the highest rating (5) in all three Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) assessments, most recently in 2015. The School hosts research programs in several centres, including the ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders and the Autism Co-operative Research Centre. Additionally, a number of staff are funded by the Australian Research Council on prestigious Professorial Fellowships.  Strong links have been developed with the UWA Business School and Energy and Minerals Institute, with collaborations including the Accelerated Learning Laboratory and Centre for Safety.


Applications to join the School are invited from individuals with a strong research background and demonstrated high-level skills in Industrial and Organisational Psychology.


The appointee will be expected to produce research of high international standing, contribute unit coordination and teaching primarily to the postgraduate programs in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, and supervise research students at honours and postgraduate levels.


To be considered for this role, applicants should have a PhD qualification with a specialty in Industrial and Organisational Psychology or Organisational Behaviour and demonstrate: 


  • Ability to teach at undergraduate and post graduate levels

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • An ability to work collaboratively in research teams

  • A strong track record of research achievement including publications in international journals

  • Evidence of initiative or leadership consistent with the level of appointment.
