Job Description:
Ernest Hunter Green have partnered with a leading consumer travel brand who are hiring a Marketing Manager to report into their Head of Marketing. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the, implementation and management of marketing activities alongside the Head of Marketing as part of the wider marketing team. The Marketing Manager will ensure all activities support the Company’s marketing strategy and the achievement of its commercial goals whilst remaining within budget.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for:
- Working under the direction of the Head of Marketing, managing the implementation of marketing activities to attract new customers
- Development, launch and marketing of a new proposition. Working with key visitor attractions, organisations such as Visit Britain, travel agents and other relevant parties to take the proposition to market.
- Own and develop close working relationships and communications with relevant outside partner organisations and manage these relationships and relevant promotions
- Encourage upselling and cross selling to current customers. Ensure customers are retained with effective strategies to be put in place to mitigate any shift.
- Manage the marketing of vouchers for the organisation and maximise the use of these tools in the leisure marketing.
- Relevant activity and appropriate elements to support campaigns should be briefed out to other team members to maximise the use of all channels eg CRM, PR, Social Media and ECommerce.
- Ensure all marketing activity is effectively promoted, professionally retailed, delivers against objectives and are evaluated, carried out within budgetary limits and support achievement of the marketing strategy and commercial goals.
- Work with the Commercial Team to ensure revenue trends are fully understood and drive tactical marketing plans, that all new products or product enhancements specified are delivered appropriately to the relevant markets and that the return from all promotional activities are clearly and accurately monitored. Provide reports as required.
- Ensure close relations with all internal departments and in particular Retail Managers and their staff. Actively promote involvement and ownership, regular communication of feedback and ideas and a thorough understanding of activities and decisions undertaken by the marketing team.
Desired Skills & Experience:
The ideal Marketing Manager candidate will come from a consumer marketing background, ideally retail / travel / leisure / hospitality and also a profile including experience of the below:
- Managing marketing activity with a focus on ROI
- Developing, building, taking to market and promoting customer propositions
- Marketing to retain, up and cross sell to customers
- Managing customer communications
- Writing, delivering and evaluating detailed marketing strategies and plans
- Evaluating marketing campaigns and maximising ROI
- Copywriting for marketing literature
- Developing end to end collateral, writing, working with design agencies, proof reading, print buying and distribution
